Light, shaped by form and color, transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

West Chester Architectural Stained Glass is owned and operated by Jeanne Kysela, an architectural stained glass artist, craftsman, and instructor whose work is rooted in traditional European techniques and shaped by a deep understanding of light, color, and design.

Her training began in 2008 in Siena, Italy, where she apprenticed with master Italian stained glass artists at Vetrate Artistiche Toscane. Over the course of eight years, she returned regularly to continue her studies, developing advanced skills in glass painting, traditional lead came construction, restoration techniques, and large-scale design. This classical training continues to define the technical foundation of her work today.

Jeanne has designed and fabricated stained glass for houses of worship, commercial spaces, and private residences throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. Her work balances traditional craftsmanship with a refined artistic approach, often drawing inspiration from natural imagery, subtle texture, and the interaction between light and space.

In addition to commissioned work, Jeanne continues to teach stained glass at the professional level at Greg Stefan Studios, Philadelphia, guiding students in both traditional leaded glazing techniques, as well as vitreous glass painting. Her 20 years in fine art and graphic design allows her to approach stained glass not only as a craft, but as an architectural and visual language.

She holds a B.F.A. in Fine Art and Graphic Design from The College of New Jersey and also has received the James Whitney Scholarship from the American Glass Guild on two separate occasions to study advanced glass painting techniques with master painters from the United States and Europe. She has also completed specialized workshops with internationally recognized glass artists, further refining her distinctive style.

Today, Jeanne continues to create custom architectural stained glass and restoration work in collaboration with Greg Stefan Studios, Philadelphia, combining classical European training with contemporary architectural stained glass, and her own personal artistic style.
